There I was, minding my own business, not touching anything or letting my mind get too happy about being in Michael’s (since it is literally one of my favourite places). I wasn’t supposed to be shopping. I went with my younger sister so she could pick up a grad gift for a friend of hers.
And there it was.
This gorgeous 18 month planner from “Me and My Big Ideas” (MAMBI).
I reached the point of no return when I picked it up and began to flip through. At first to be honest, it was quite absentmindedly. But then, I saw all the quotes inside….
And the “Currently” page at the beginning of each month….
And suddenly I was hooked. There were a few differently styled planners. So I stood there for I have no idea how long, being indecisive about which I loved most, and would get the most use from…
My sister had long picked up and paid for the item she came for and was now impatiently telling me she was ready, and that I’ve been standing here for 10 years.
I ended up purchasing the first one I touched. The one that got my attention in the first place.
And I had a coupon for 50% off a regular priced item…so naturally, that meant I could pick up a few other things…at least in my head. This meant some accessories to help me make the most of my new planner!
Like I sometimes do…I did a little too much.
I can’t say I regret it. Maybe if I had some remorse, I wouldn’t have returned to Michael’s so often in the weeks following my planner purchase…
But that’s neither here, nor there.
This planner is SO WORTH IT. I’m already having a lot of fun with it, and it’s made me more organized. I am a very visual person, and spreads like this (some things are purposely blocked out in blue, but you get the point)….
Do the world for me. I like to see my whole day/week. See what I accomplished and what I missed. And this Happy Planner does that.
Here’s a few pics of the planner’s features and some of the extra stuff I got that are from the same planner company (MAMBI), and some that are not, but went well for my planning purposes.
Dashboards: Plastic dividers (Set of 3) that you can use as a dashboard for sticky notes and reminders that are temporary you may not want to put on your planner spread. They come with a set of clear stickers. Gotta love stickers!
Expander Discss: As you can see on the title picture at the top of this post, my planner came with PINK binding discs, but I knew that my planner would outgrow those, so I just made the switch to the teal expander discs which are about double the size of the original pink ones. A must if you’re going to be adding pages to your planner as I have already.
The Happy Planner Hole Puncher: As mentioned above, I like to add, and this special hole puncher makes it so easy to do that!
Washi Tape: For decoration, and because I love making my planners pretty. lol
Sticker Packs: An embarrassment of options. I got plenty to last me for a long time. Reminder stickers, blank stickers I can customize. Fun message stickers, etc.
I love getting organized, especially with how busy I am, and all the stuff I have get done on a weekly basis. And I have to say, this planner is a definite 10/10.
